The Sheraton Hotel, located next to the Charleston Airport is proposed for the reunion venue site. The hotel provides free airport shuttle, and also free downtown shuttle for Starwood members. You may sign up for Starwood membership for no cost at registration. The group rate of $99.00 plus taxes per room can be guaranteed for up to three days before and three days after the reunion dates. To guarantee this preferred rate, we will be required to guarantee 85% occupancy for reserved rooms. So the contract requires for every 20 rooms we reserve, 17 rooms must be paid.

The Jacob Raser family, local Charleston residents and co-hosts, have reviewed and investigated a number of locations in the Charleston area and recommend the Sheraton as a quality facility that is a real value for the quoted $99.00 plus tax per room. Also, it appears meals at the hotel will run about $35.00 for a dinner and $25.00 for the luncheon that includes all taxes and gratuities. Although they will give us a space for our early bird meeting Friday night, there is a $250 room charge for Saturday evening and $50.00 for Sunday. As hosts we are willing to pay for these costs from the allowance for the reunion expenses.
